On August 8, 2023, to commemorate Ice Bucket Challenge month, SimpliHere will open a round of crowdfunding that will continue into September. Through the fundraising platform iFundWomen, which focuses on projects and startups created by women — like our founder and a former ALS caregiver, Joanna — we are aiming to raise $40,000 in 40 days!
Crowdsourced funds raised through our campaign will pay for the development of what is called a “minimum viable product,” which, in app developer speak, just means a version of our app with enough features to be usable by early customers, who can then provide feedback for future product development. This next phase of app development requires the work of two developers over 12 weeks who will produce version 2.0 of the SimpliHere app. Your support helps pay for that work.
We are excited that our campaign also includes some cool rewards for funders, including:
- a free trial to the new, improved SimpliHere app (once it’s available)
- gift certificates to breweries participating in Ales for ALS
- a 30 minute online guided meditation session with Empowering Path
- zero-proof cocktail kit from We Are Raising the Bar
- one year of free access to the new, improved SimpliHere app for up to 50 users for health care agencies, assisted living facilities, and other caregiving institutions (once it’s available)
You can watch a short video message from our founder, Joanna Rosenberg, about the importance of this campaign by clicking here.
And you can click here to participate! Please help us get the word out by sharing this announcement with your networks. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us on our path to exponentially improving our app and getting it into the hands of people who need it — the 40 million people across the country who are providing care for someone with an illness like ALS or disability.
Thank you so much in advance for your consideration and support of Caregiving For All!
